Posted on Feb 11 2017 - 4:55pm

Congratulations to Vinny Stern for winning the Bull Run District Pinewood Derby Overall Championship. That's right, Vinny Stern won the whole thing!!!! Pack 1195 did very well. Unfortunately, the race projector did not work, so racers couldn't tell how they were doing overall. Our Scouts made a good showing and won many heats. We won't know if we won the Bull Run District Cup until the next District Roundtable.

The Cub Scout Thrift Rack

Posted on Jun 6 2016 - 6:42am

A Scout is Thrifty. This is the 9th point of the Scout Law. We do not waste, and we reuse and recycle when we can to help each other and the environment. If you are not saving your hats, neckerchiefs, slides, shirts, etc for keepsake items, please contribute to our new thrift rack being managed by Sara Lowry. There is always someone who can use the help, so give a little to gain a lot and help a friend in the meantime! Any scout shirts, hats, or other gear that has been outgrown or is no longer being used can be donated at any of our Pack functions.
